France’s participation at the 10th annual WFES showcase is covering the gamut of industry sectors with 38 exhibiting companies gathered together under the Créative France banner.

Also on show is expertise in water management solutions from France as represented by the Pôle EAU water competitiveness cluster delegation, led by president, Sylvain Boucher, and director general, Jean-Loïc Carré.

An initiative under the country’s industrial policy, Pôle EAU is one of three national clusters and represents some 450 companies, with the aim of developing partnerships and projects between member companies and acedemics to promote innovation and international business in the water sector. « Our participation allows us to present the innovative technological capabilities of French companies to a global audience, and help identify business opportunities, » said Sylvain Boucher.  « We have also developed co-operative partnerships with other international clusters in the UK, Brazil, the US and Spain, among others ; and here we also get to meet other overseas clusters to exchange information and discuss market trends and opportunities, » he added.

Jean-Loïc Carré highlighted opportunities for French expertise on the global map, with Asia, the Indian sub-continent, South America and North America all prospective markets, as he explained, « In certain areas like Texas and California, there are ongoing challenges with water management and efficiency, and we cana dd value through our cluster expertise. « Here in the Middle East, where the provision of water for a growing population is an issue when it comes to sludge handling, our cluster members can offer proven solutions to manage this transformation. »
